Gear

Trying to decide on gear is stressful. I will provide most your gear so you can try out different brands and styles. What you'll need to bring for yourself is a sleeping bag, your clothes, trekking poles if you already use them and a headlamp. I will also give you advice on these items.

Provided:

  • Backpack (with rain cover)

  • Tent (with ground sheet)

  • Sleeping pad

  • Stove, fuel, lighter, pot, spoon, leak-proof container

  • Water filter and bottles

  • Trowel

  • Tiny knife

  • Emergency blanket

  • Soap

  • Blister tape

  • Toilet paper/Ziplock bag

  • Umbrella

You bring:

  • Sleeping bag

  • Headlamp

  • Clothes

  • Toothbrush/paste

  • Sunscreen

  • Sunglasses

  • Trekking poles

 

You need to bring (and no more!):

  • Hiking pants

  • Shorts: only if you prefer to hike in shorts when it's hot

  • Fleece pants (optional for cold weather)

  • Dri-fit T-shirt OR sun hoodie 

  • Long sleeve thermal shirt

  • Puffy jacket 

  • Fleece gloves

  • Neck gaiter or buff

  • Beanie

  • Hat for the sun

  • Day socks (1 pair), sleep socks (1 pair)

  • Bra and underwear are optional, but if you do bring them, one of each.

Clothes can be very dependent on your preference for sun/bug protection or the less is more mantra.
